Roots of Marcianise: A Four-Generation Legacy in Hemp Cultivation

Roots Weed was born from tradition, knowledge, and commitment to excellence. Our story begins in Marcianise, in the Campania region of Italy, one of the main historical centers of hemp cultivation in Europe.

For centuries, hemp played a fundamental role in the Italian economy, being used for the production of fabrics, ropes for navigation, and agricultural materials. Its extremely high-quality fiber supplied the ships of the Italian Navy, ensuring strength and durability to the sails and rigging that crossed the oceans.

Marcianise became a benchmark in this cultivation thanks to its fertile lands, perfect climate, and strategic access to irrigation systems, creating ideal conditions for superior quality hemp—considered to this day as one of the best in the world.

This is where our roots are born. For four generations, our family has been dedicated to cultivating this plant, preserving knowledge passed down over time. Cipollucc’, our grandmother, grew up seeing how hemp was part of everyday life—from the fields to the textile workshops, where its fiber was transformed into essential products for society.

Over the years, tradition has evolved, and today we cultivate 35,000 CBD plants per year, combining ancient techniques with modern innovation to guarantee premium flowers, refined extracts, pure oils, and the highest quality vapes.
